After 12 months of late-night brainstorming, rigorous coaching, and intense product development, eight of Armenia’s most promising “green” startups took to the stage for the Ucom Fellowship 2025 Final Pitch.
During the event, these trailblazers showcased their solutions for a more sustainable future for Armenia.
Now in its second year, the Ucom Fellowship, a deepening collaboration between Ucom and Impact Hub Yerevan, has become a stable space of learning for entrepreneurs who refuse to choose between profit and the planet.
Throughout the year, our fellows developed their initiatives with the support of individual mentorship and a community of like-minded innovators. They took raw ideas in agrotech, circular economy, and green energy and turned them into viable, market-ready businesses.
The graduation event featured two sessions of high-stakes presentations. Each founder had just minutes to convince our esteemed jury that their solution could change the world.
Our jury members, Ralph Yirikian (Director General of Ucom), Tijay Jeghelian (Programs Director at Impact Hub Yerevan), and Nazareth Seferian (Sustainability Expert), had the difficult task of evaluating ten incredible projects.
“Our partnership with Ucom has been instrumental in providing a launchpad for Armenia’s most promising green entrepreneurs,” shared Tijay Jeghelian. “We have witnessed the transformation of our fellows as they developed their innovative concepts into viable, impact-driven enterprises.”
The 2025 cohort covered an inspiring spectrum of solutions:
- Bee Green (Armine Babayan): Reducing plastic pollution through the production of reusable, biodegradable beeswax food wraps.
- Eco Habit (Gohar Harutyunyan): Producing durable household rugs by recycling industrial nylon hosiery waste while employing vulnerable social groups.
- Grant Legacy (Lilit Grigoryan): A circular-cycle greenhouse enterprise producing high-value teas and spices, reviving ancient Armenian botanical traditions.
- Kensahumus (Narek Harutyunyan): Converting agricultural waste into high-quality organic biohumus using Californian worms, promoting a zero-waste farming cycle.
- ReSoma (Mane Mkhitariyan): A sustainable fashion brand developing plant-based fibers without chemical processing or excessive water use.
- SeElabUS: An innovative AI-based learning platform tailored for specialized education.
- SUNHOME Guesthouse (Karina Manukyan): Promoting eco-tourism in the Lori region through sustainable accommodations and local community experiences.
- Zenith Academy (Hasmik Sargsyan): A French-Armenian educational initiative in Sevan providing specialized training in photovoltaics, robotics, and green energy.
After much deliberation, the jury selected three winners to receive 400,000 AMD each in financial support. While every fellow walked away with a wealth of knowledge and a strengthened network, Bee Green, Eco Habit, and SunHome took home the top prizes to help launch their next phase of operations.
As we say goodbye to the 2025 cohort, we aren’t slowing down. The impact of these eight businesses is just beginning to be felt across Armenia, and we are already looking for the next wave of innovators.
