An excellent new opportunity for growing social enterprises was presented by Jessica Sun, a Kiva fellow currently serving in Armenia.
Kiva aims to provide 0% loans of $10,000 to $50,000 to social enterprises within the framework of a new program called “Direct to Social Enterprise.” The program is operational in over 20 countries, and Armenia is about to be next.
Kiva is an international non-profit organisation, founded in 2005 and based in San Francisco, with a mission to connect people through lending to alleviate poverty. They provide “Loans That Change Lives.”
