At Impact Hub Yerevan, we believe that the intersection of technology and sustainability is where the future of Armenia’s economy lies. For the second year in a row, we have been proud to partner with Ucom to host the Ucom Fellowship: a year-long incubation program designed to scale the next generation of “green” entrepreneurs.
Recently, our current cohort of fellows had the unique opportunity to step out of the Impact Hub space and into the Ucom headquarters, one of Armenia’s leading telecommunications companies. There, they were met with a hands-on deep-dive session with Ucom General Director Ralph Yirikian.
Mentorship Beyond the Classroom
The theme of the day was “Effective Management and Leadership.” For early-stage entrepreneurs, technical skills are only half the battle; the ability to lead a team and manage growth is what defines a successful startup.
Mr. Yirikian shared invaluable insights from his decades of experience at the helm of major enterprises. Basic theory aside, he shared personal anecdotes, the principles that have guided his career, and answered burning questions from our fellows.
As Mr. Yirikian noted during the visit, Ucom identifies as a “green company,” prioritizing initiatives that contribute to environmental protection. This mission aligns perfectly with our goals at Impact Hub Yerevan.
The Ucom Fellowship is a chance for innovators to make mistakes in a safe environment and learn from them. Over the course of a year, we provide these innovators with individual training, high-level mentorship, and a platform to build strategic partnerships. Our focus remains steadfast on supporting those developing technological solutions for environmental sustainability, ranging from green energy and agrotech to ecotourism and the circular economy.
The 2025 cohort features enterprises like Eco Habit, Zenith Academy, Grant Legacy, By Botany, Bee Green, SUNHOME Guesthouse, Kensahumus, 4Green, and SeElabUS. They are developing scalable solutions that tackle a wide range of sustainability challenges, spanning from circular economy waste management and plant-based textile development to AI-driven energy optimization, eco-tourism, and specialized technical education, all aimed at fostering a more resilient and ecologically responsible future for Armenia.
These projects represent the kind of creative problem-solving Armenia needs to ensure a more sustainable and ecologically responsible future.
What’s Next?

In just a few days, our teams will finalize their products and prepare for a final pitch. The standout projects will receive a financial prize of 400,000 AMD to help turn their vision into a market-ready reality.
Are you ready to join the movement?
We are excited to announce that the third phase of the Ucom Fellowship will launch in April 2026. Stay tuned to our social media channels and website for the official call for applications.
Let’s continue to build a greener, smarter Armenia together!
