For our last installment of “Straight Talk” we hosted Aleksandr Khachaturyan, Executive Director of the newly created Center for Strategic Initiatives of the Government of Armenia. A lively discussion and exchange of ideas took place focused specifically on the Center’s key reform areas – namely how to increase Armenia’s exports and attract foreign investments as well as issues and challenges within the information and high tech sectors, tourism, agriculture & processing industries, education, and tax and customs sectors.
Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan created the Center for Strategic Initiatives in January as a public-private partnership focused on a long-term strategy of economic development in Armenia.
Mr. Khachaturyan is an expert in finance and corporate law. Formerly, he was managing partner at TK Equity Partners, a boutique law firm, and is experienced in cooperating with a number of international and local investors working in Armenia. Mr. Khachaturyan received his master’s degree in finance and banking at Boston University School of Law.
