As the saying goes, “Better to try something once, than to hear about it a thousand times.” This was the theme last Friday when Impact Hub Yerevan cofounder Vahe Keushguerian, who is also the founder & CEO of “Wine Works,” an incubator winery in Armenia that produces many of the wonderful wines we now enjoy, hosted a beautiful journey on Armenian wine-making accompanied by an elegant degustation of 10 Armenian wines. Vahe educated our community on the numerous indigenous grape varieties we have in Armenia and the unique characteristics of Armenia’s volcanic soil and terroir. We also learned more about the history and process of how the Armenian winemaking industry grew by leaps and bounds in less than 10 years, with Armenia now boasting wines which have earned accolades on a global level.
