Women’s Empowerment Principles
In Spring, 2026, during the “Ring the Bell for Gender Equality” ceremony at the Alexander Hotel, Impact Hub Yerevan officially signed the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs). Organized by UNDP Armenia in partnership with the Armenia Securities Exchange (AMX), the event highlighted the private sector’s crucial role in advancing UN Sustainable Development Goal #5.
Impact Hub Yerevan’s Programs Director, Tijay Jeghelian, signed the declaration, joining a global network of over 7,000 companies dedicated to fostering inclusive workplaces and ecosystems.
“At Impact Hub Yerevan, we work to build an inclusive community where everyone has the opportunity to grow and lead. By joining the Women’s Empowerment Principles, we are strengthening our commitment to gender equality and to creating real opportunities for women and girls to innovate, build businesses, and shape the future of our society,” said Tijay Jeghelian.
For Impact Hub Yerevan, signing the WEPs was a natural milestone, as the principles directly reflect our existing DNA. Today, 100% of our internal team and leadership are female, and our community serves as a thriving hub for female-led innovation:

The WEPs provide a framework for business action. Here is how Impact Hub Yerevan aligns with these global standards:
High-Level Corporate Leadership
Our 100% female leadership team ensures gender equality is at the core of every strategic decision.
Treat all Women and Men Fairly at Work
We maintain a culture of zero discrimination and equal opportunity.
Employee Health, Wellbeing, and Safety
Prioritizing a supportive environment for our all-female team.
Education and Training for Career Advancement
Through initiatives like our Women’s Entrepreneurship Fellowship, we provide intensive incubation, financial literacy, and mentorship to help women transform ideas into sustainable ventures.
Enterprise Development and Supply Chain
We practice impact-driven sourcing, giving priority to displaced women from Artsakh and female-led social enterprises for catering and services.
Community Initiatives and Advocacy
We advocate for women’s economic empowerment through our alumni networks and public programs.
Measurement and Reporting
We commit to transparency in tracking our progress and the success of the female founders in our ecosystem.
By embracing the Women’s Empowerment Principles, Impact Hub Yerevan sets a new standard for what a mission-driven organization can achieve. However, true systemic change requires collective action. We invite our partners, fellow organizations, and the wider private sector in Armenia to join us in this mission. We are proud to lead by example, proving that when gender equality is woven into the fabric of an organization’s leadership and community, it builds a more resilient, innovative, and prosperous future for everyone.
