Two-Day Business Idea Generation Event
General Information
The European Union-funded project “Promoting Sustainable Livelihoods, Entrepreneurship Development, and Employment Opportunities for Displaced and Host Communities” (Three4ResilientArmenia) is implemented by “Armenian Caritas” Benevolent NGO, the “IRIS Business Incubator” Foundation, and the “Impact Hub Armenia” Social Innovation Development Foundation. The project aims to foster the social inclusion and economic integration of displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh and their host communities.
About the Ideathon
The Ideathon is an educational event designed with interactive and gamified elements. This dynamic approach stimulates creative thinking, team collaboration, and the development of entrepreneurial skills, providing an effective and memorable two-day experience.
Regardless of entrepreneurial experience, participants will learn how to generate viable business ideas in general and assess their viability and market demand using the “Business Idea Generation Roadmap” toolkit and other self-assessment and validation tools.
A key advantage of the Ideathon is the specialized training provided, where participants gain essential knowledge and practical skills. This prepares them to confidently transition into the project’s subsequent incubation, pre-acceleration, and acceleration phases, which are managed by IRIS Business Incubator and Impact Hub Armenia.
Participants apply as individuals and will form teams during the event, gravitating around business ideas developed on-site.
The primary objective of the event is not merely to select a winning idea, but to ensure that participants understand and master the complete process of creating a business concept.
The two-day Regional Ideathon – Summer 2026 event will be held on July 4-5, 2026, at Villa3 Community Hub Dilijan.
All participants will receive an online certificate of participation upon completion.
Call for Applications
Under the Three4ResilientArmenia project, Armenian Caritas, IRIS Business Incubator, and Impact Hub Armenia are officially opening applications for the Regional Ideathon – Summer 2026. This initiative is designed to stimulate entrepreneurship through the creation of viable business ideas among the project’s target groups, specifically: our compatriots displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh in 2020 and 2023, and residents of host communities, including those affected by the 2020 war.
Application Period: June 9, 2026, to June 28, 2026 (inclusive).
Language: Applications must be submitted in Armenian.
Who Can Apply?
The Three4ResilientArmenia Regional Ideathon — Summer 2026 is open to residents of Armenia aged 18 and above who meet any of the following criteria:
- People displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh in 2020 and 2023․
- Participants of the 2020 war, including those who sustained injuries․
- Local residents affected by the 2020 war․
- Youth, including students․
- Individuals interested in entrepreneurship․
- Anyone looking to acquire skills in generating viable business ideas.
- Those who already have a business idea and wish to validate its viability using modern methods and toolkits.
Selection Criteria
Applications will be evaluated by a committee of three project team members based on:
- Completeness of the application.
- Readiness and Responsibility: Competitive candidates will be those who demonstrate high levels of interest, motivation, and a commitment to participating in the full two-day event.
