We had the privilege of hosting James Tufenkian as part of our “Look Who’s in Town” talks for members. For over 20 years, James has committed to using his business ventures to develop Armenia and to transform the lives of many Armenians. James started contributing to the development of his homeland through the establishment of a handmade carpets business and a boutique hotel chain to expand tourism outside of Yerevan. He also established the Tufenkian Foundation which aims to tackle problematic issues in Armenia that are often overlooked by international and local institutions (e.g. rebuilding Artsakh, mining legislation, domestic violence, etc). It was a lively and inspiring exchange – our community looks forward to hosting James again soon!
