Arus Sukiasyan was formally educated as a chemist and ecologist. She has always been an active citizen, which has significantly shaped her professional journey. Throughout her career as a Project Manager and Community Development manager, she has worked with international organizations. She was invited to move to Romania to work at FITT Timisoara, a youth-led organization qualified by the Council of Europe. FITT Timisoara helps young people create change in their communities, provides non-formal education, and offers a safe space for developing leadership skills. She has designed projects that provided young people from various communities with non-formal education, helping them become responsible and active citizens, as well as developed projects for youth workers. Additionally, she has worked with ActionAid Denmark, UNICEF Romania, and Europe Direct în Timișoara. With over 6 years of experience in project management and community development, her strengths lie in communication and working effectively with and for people. She has played professional handball for 10 years and was part of the Armenian national team. Through sports she learned the importance and the power of teamwork.
