Nairi has worked in the non-profit sector for over 15 years, coordinating a number of short-term and long-term local and international projects. Although the projects she has coordinated have been diverse in sphere and target groups- from Diaspora Armenian youth discovering Armenia, to defending and advocating the right of children and youth with disabilities, to helping to set up The Caucasus Network for Children - they have all had two things in common: change and youth.
Nairi is a firm believer in the power and potential of youth to bring about change and improve society and the world we live in. She is driven by the desire to do meaningful work, especially those that are considered minor or "requiring little effort," with the conviction that often it is the smallest things that make the most significant difference. Her life motto is captured in her favorite quote by Confucius, “The man who moves a mountain begins by carrying away small stones.”
Nairi has a BA in History from Yerevan State University and a MA from the American University of Armenia in Political Science and International Relations. She has a love for sports, languages, and accents, is an avid reader, a coffee aficionado, and enjoys good wine, but most of all she takes great pleasure in eating stashed-away chocolate when her kids are not around...
